Trust & Legitimacy

Oriven operates under a signed legal service agreement with every client. We work with verified government bodies, LC offices, and licensed professionals. All team members sign confidentiality agreements and professional codes of conduct. Every action is documented and reported to you in writing. We encourage clients to engage independent legal advisers before signing — and we welcome scrutiny. It's how we build trust.

Absolutely. Confidentiality is one of our five core professional principles. Your identity, financial information and asset details are never disclosed to any third party without your explicit written consent. All staff sign confidentiality agreements as a condition of employment. We comply fully with Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019.

Yes. Oriven has a UK branch based in London, specifically to serve Ugandans across Britain and Europe. Our UK office handles enquiries, client consultations, KYC onboarding and ongoing client relationship management. You can reach our UK team at uk@oriventrust.com or +44 7462 338692 (also on WhatsApp), Monday to Friday 9am–6pm GMT.

Fees & Costs

All fees are clearly outlined in the Service Agreement before any work begins — there are zero hidden charges. Our management fee depends on the service type and scope. Operational costs (e.g. government registration fees, survey costs, contractor payments) are the client's responsibility and are invoiced separately with full receipts. We publish our full fee schedule in the Documents section of this website.

Income is collected on your behalf and remitted directly to your bank account or mobile money account abroad using verified international transfer channels. A full income statement and receipt records are provided with every remittance. Remittances are made within 5 business days of month-end — no vague timelines, no delays without explanation.

Getting Started

No. The entire onboarding process can be completed remotely — by email, WhatsApp and video call. Documents can be signed electronically. For UK-based clients, you can meet our London team in person. For very large land purchases, we may recommend a visit or the use of a Power of Attorney with a verified local advocate — but this is not a requirement for most services. See our full onboarding process here.

Yes. We carry out full due diligence: title deed verification at the Land Registry, LC confirmation, seller identity checks, survey and boundary confirmation, and caveat searches. We work with registered advocates for legal transfer documents. We do not recommend any purchase until all checks are complete and reported to you in writing. Learn more about our Land Acquisition service.

Ongoing Management

Oriven provides regular condition reports, so issues are usually identified early. If something urgent arises — damage, encroachment, or a tenant dispute — we notify you immediately and advise on the best course of action. All significant expenditure requires your written approval first. Where insurance is in place, we liaise with the insurer directly on your behalf. You are never left in the dark.

You receive a full written report every month — including GPS-tagged photographs, a written narrative and a full financial statement. For construction projects, milestone reports are issued after each phase. Ad-hoc updates are sent immediately whenever something noteworthy occurs. Everything is documented — nothing is communicated by word of mouth alone.

Yes. Our service agreements include a clear exit clause. You may terminate with written notice (typically 30 days). On termination, we provide a full handover report, return all original documents in our possession, and provide a final financial statement with all outstanding income remitted. We do not lock clients in — our goal is to earn your continued trust.

Documents & Legal

For standard KYC onboarding you will need: a valid government-issued photo ID (passport or national ID), proof of address (utility bill or bank statement, dated within 3 months), and details of the asset(s) you wish us to manage — title deeds, land certificates or tenancy agreements where available. For land acquisition or construction, additional documentation may be requested. See the full KYC checklist in our Documents section.

Yes. All Oriven service agreements are prepared by qualified Ugandan advocates and are legally binding under Ugandan law. For UK-based clients, the agreement can also be reviewed by a UK solicitor before signing. We provide a copy of the signed agreement to both parties, and no operational work begins before signature. You can download our standard agreement template from the Documents section.
